I have a question for ANYONE that can answer it:
WHY IS STEALING FROM THE ELDERLY, DISABLED, AND THE DEAD NOT CONSIDERED A CRIME?
A charge of "Home Invasion" at the very least. Better than NOTHING!!!
It's not considered a crime because it is considered a "civil matter"
Get caught stealing $250,000 from a bank and life as you knew it will cease to exist. Take the same amount from a trust and most often, like Ray says, it's a "civil matter." For that reason, the indecency associated with these cases extends past the specific perpetrators. Government and other elected officials who are non-responsive to advocacy efforts and/or cases with which they come in contact are additionally culpable. Their reaction is no mystery - it has everything to do with the legal industry's entrenchment. Educating the public is the first critical step.
