Financial exploitation should be considered if the patient has suddenly transferred assets to a family member.

Indeed two very extraordinary people & a blessing to have known & loved.
Written words could never describe the way I feel about they way these two people changed my life.
A.J. God Rest His Soul, was a humble yet a highly accomplished man and father.
Clara, may our Lord give her the comfort that she herself gave to others in their time of need as she herself is now in her time of need.

I normally wouldn't have even clicked on something like this. I'm glad that I did. They look like they truly loved each other and it's obvious that they had a great life together.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice video. 58 years sure is a long time to be married-that's hardly seen anymore. 58 months is considered a big deal nowadays. Thanks for putting it up-it's a nice break from all that wretched jihad business.

What your blog does is exemplify what blogs should do... be a voice for the voiceless, and a powerful one at that.
Ray
Thank you for sending me this video. I enjoyed working with Dr.Fernandez for the many years that he was the M.E.
I am sending this to my wife so that I may view this at home. Thanks again.

Thanks for the video. I wish they'd gone more into the story of their separation.
Nice picture, thanks to sharing it, good jobs..
This is my first visit to your blog. This is powerful stuff and you are to be commended for making this your mission.
Pete
This is wonderful, the animals that separated this couple , should be hung by their !#$$%%^
I can only assume they separated then becasue of the money !
I did not realize you could separate a couple legally married, just like that, always thought you need a especial order to do that !
this is realy sad, who knows how many years this wonderful couple had still together, the saddest part is that the people who are doing this are still free to harm other people
It seems ironic that their 58 years of marriage was cut short by their own kin over money. With our growing elder population you would think we would develop laws to guard against this type of crime.
This blog is about Clara and AJ exclusively, please keep your comments relevant or they won't be published. Thank You
Dear readers and Blog Administrator;
I have been following this Blog on Clara & Dr. Fernandez for quite some time and I have seen enough evidence to merit criminal prosecution! I am not a lawyer, but a am very influential in Tallahassee, Florida. I will contact the Blog Administrator in private and give my assistance to help Clara and her family realize justice for what crimes have been committed against her as well as her estate.
*In a brief note to those who held Clara captive under the guise of caring for her, be warned and be aware of the criminal acts you have made and you all will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!
Ray,
A fitting tribute to a wonderful woman!

"What a novel idea!! This same exact thing happened to my Mother-in-law a little over 2 years ago. My Mother-in-law was stripped of every penny and piece of property she owned. The Sheriff's office and Prosecutor were less than concerned. I spent thousands of my own dollars trying to push this case forward. In fact, the King County Prosecutor whom specializes in these cases ,offered all of her office's resources to Sue Bauer and Michelle Schafer in a attempt to seek justice. Apparently Bauer and Schafer are too experienced to need any help. Even though neither of them new what RCW 74.34 was. That is the vulnerable adult statute. It's too bad this "task force" wasn't created 2 years ago when they had the opportunity. Who knows how many of our elderly were victimized because of Bauer's and Schafer's incompetence. By the way. The relative that did this horrible deed finally pleaded guilty to 3 misdemeanors. He spent all the money, now my Mother-in-law is still broke."

Too Many Cases!

"These types of articles are popping up all over our county and far too often! I agree that family members sometimes exploit the elderly. But I believe that there is a far worse problem that is not being properly addressed: guardianship. There are just too many cases of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation against the elderly, the disabled and/or incapacitated adults and by the very guardians appointed by a court to protect them. And the current laws do not seem to be working. Do a search on “ guardianship abuse ” and you may be shocked at what you find. The baby boomers are heading for retirement age. A whole new set of elderly will soon be available to prey upon. And the guardianship system does not seem to protect the elderly, as it should. Far too many horror stories indicate otherwise. I honestly do not know if a trustee would be any different. I think it is safe to say though, we are heading for a national crisis should the abuses by guardians and conservators continue to be ignored. "
Whenever I think about what lies ahead wondering if I have the courage, the determination to do what must or can be done, I remember that I carry my dad inside me. He is half of every cell of my body. The courage and determination that he possessed are mine -- I just have to reach out and take it. - Franciene
