Son Sentenced For Sexual Abuse Two Weeks After Father Sentenced

BANGOR (AP) -- The son of a Patten man serving an eleven-year sentence on sex charges has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a minor and been sentenced to nine months in jail.

Thirty-year-old Kirby Williams Junior was sentenced Friday to four years in prison with all but nine months suspended for sexual abuse of a minor in 2005.

Williams' father, 54-year-old Kirby Williams Senior, also was charged with sexually abusing the same girl. But those charges were dropped after the elder Williams was convicted in January of sexually abusing a different female family member.
