4 More Grandmothers Bludgeoned with Hammer

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) - Police say a 41-year-old man stormed a Pennsylvania beauty salon and bludgeoned four grandmothers with a hammer, fracturing one's skull during a robbery.

Witnesses say the women, aged 56 to 76, didn't resist but were beaten anyway. At least one required surgery.

Weekend's over we go back to telling you about Grandmothers being bludgeoned, elders being put in nursing homes so their houses can be sold to the highest bidder, attorneys smelling blood where there are family disagreements and making their bid to take over the elders estates, especially where there is money or real estate involved, regardless of the elder wishes and desires as set out in their will and estate planning documents.

We also go back to begging our readers to get involved and to voice your concerns to our representatives in government and ask that they take action to prevent the total breakdown of the moral fiber that holds our society together. We go back to asking that rules be equally enforced across the board and that heinous crimes being committed upon our elders be strongly condemned and a heavy price exacted upon the people guilty of abuse in all it's ugly forms.
