Woman Sentenced In Elder Abuse Case

BURLINGTON, Ky. -- A Burlington woman was sentenced Wednesday on charges related to the death of an elderly person in her care.

A judge sentenced Mary Allen to 225 days in jail and five years’ probation after she pleaded guilty to abusing Joe Daniels, a mentally disabled man for whom she was paid to provide care.
Allen was indicted earlier this year on second-degree manslaughter and exploitation of an adult by a caregiver and two counts of abuse and neglect.

The judge also ordered that Allen, whose husband, Brian Graham, faces charges related to the sexual abuse of an 18-month-old girl, may not work again as a caregiver.

Thanks Goodness this judge is tough on abuse and ordered Allen NOT to work again as a caregiver! We are thrilled to hear that, sounds like we are making real progress, here.
